BOARD OF APPEAL & EQUALIZATION MEETING

April 18, 2012

 

The April 18, 2012 Board of Appeal and Equalization Meeting of the Town of Crane Lake was called to order by Chairman Jerry Pohlman at 2:08PM at the Crane Lake Chapel Fellowship Hall with the Pledge of Allegiance recited by those in attendance including:  Supervisors Jerry Pohlman and Butch Eggen, Treasurer Terrie Hoff, Clerk Jo Ann Pohlman, Township Assessor Jan Jackson & Daryl B., St. Louis County Representative Patrick Orent and 1 member of the community.  Supervisor Jim Janssen was absent.

 

Appeals were heard from those present.

 

Jeffery J. Sanborn, Parcel Code 308-0030-03410 appealed valuation of property.  A motion was made by Jerry, supported by Butch, that the valuation remains the same.  All voted in favor and the motion carried.

 

Merlin Larson, Parcel Code 308-0030-03490 appealed valuation of property.  A motion was made by Butch, supported by Jerry, to reduce the valuation from $56,500 to $47,500, a reduction of $9,000 as recommended by Ms. Jackson and Mr. Orent due to clerical oversight.  All voted in favor and the motion carried.

 

Robert Scott, Parcel Code 308-0150-00163 appealed valuation of property.  A motion was made by Jerry, supported by Butch, to reduce the valuation from $118,800 to $38,800, a reduction of $80,000 at the County’s recommendation due to a valuation reduction to the effective lakefront footage.  All voted in favor and the motion carried.

 

Thomas Partridge, Parcel Code 308-0030-04995 appealed valuation of property.  A motion was made by Butch, supported by Jerry, to reduce the valuation from $88,300 to $22,700, a reduction of $65,600 as recommended by Ms. Jackson and Mr. Orent due to clerical oversight.  All voted in favor and the motion carried.

 

Deena Congdon, Parcel Code 308-0080-00406 appealed valuation of property.  A motion was made by Butch, supported by Jerry, to reduce the valuation from $476,600 to $426,300, a reduction of $50,300 as recommended by Ms. Jackson and Mr. Orent due to incorrect posting.  All voted in favor and the motion carried.

 

Adrienne Rice, Parcel Code 308-0060-00110 appealed valuation of property.  A motion was made by Butch, supported by Jerry, that the valuation remains the same as it is comparable to other properties in the area.  All voted in favor and the motion carried.

 

John Connaker, Parcel Code 308-0060-00400 appealed valuation of property.  A motion was made by Butch, supported by Jerry, that the valuation remains the same as it is comparable to other properties in the area.  All voted in favor and the motion carried.

 

Robert Steiner, Parcel Code 308-0050-00060 appealed the valuation of property.  A motion was made by Butch, supported by Jerry, that the valuation remains the same as it is comparable to other properties in the area.  All voted in favor and the motion carried.

 

Arthur Eggen, Parcel Code 308-0030-03590 appealed the valuation of the property.  A motion was made by Jerry, supported by Butch understanding that there was a conflict, that the valuation remains the same.  All voted in favor and the motion carried.

No list of Crane Lake Building Permits 2012 Assessment was presented for Board consideration.
