BOARD OF SUPERVISORS’ MEETING
August 10, 2010
The August 10, 2010 Board of Supervisors’ Meeting was called to order by Vice-Chairman Jim Janssen at 8:15PM at the Crane Lake Chapel Fellowship Hall with the Pledge of Allegiance recited by those in attendance including: Supervisors Butch Eggen and Jim Janssen, Treasurer Terrie Hoff and Clerk Jo Ann Pohlman. Supervisor Jerry Pohlman was absent.
BUSINESS
Additions to the Agenda: USFS Land Surveying was added to New Business.
Minutes – A motion was made by Butch, supported by Jim, to approve the minutes of the 7/13/2010 Board of Supervisors’ Meeting. Butch ad Jim voted in favor and the motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report – Terrie read the July Cash Balances and presented the bills as follows: Cook News-Herald – $92.60; Shirley Sanborn – $85.00; Crane Lake Voyageur Days – $252.69; CLVTB – $8,315.26 and Payroll – $430.87. A motion was made by Butch, supported by Jim, to approve the Treasurer’s Report as read and the payment of bills. Butch and Jim voted in favor and the motion carried.
The Clerk presented the correspondence. The correspondence was received as read and will be placed on file and acted upon as required.
OLD BUSINESS
Land Exchange/Community Property Project: Butch reported that as of yesterday, the Land Exchange is at the top of the USFS priority list of exchanges. Ruth L. Carlson has signed the collection agreement with the USFS.
CLWSD Report – Rob Scott: Rob was not present to report.
Voyageur Days: The final meeting prior to Voyageur Days will be this Thursday at 2PM.
Coalition for Community Schools: No action was taken.
Culvert Status: No new information has been received. Jim will transmit information to the Board members upon receipt.
NEW BUSINESS
September Meeting Date (Change to 2nd Tuesday): The September meeting date will remain as posted – September 7, 2010, 7:30PM at the Fellowship Hall.
USFS Land Surveying: A letter was received by the Board from a survey company that is contracting with the USFS to provide land surveying and property line marking near the Township’s property in Buyck. The Board will return the landowner response form granting permission for the survey company to enter upon and survey across the land and to allow minor cutting of brush and small trees.
Other New Business: There was none.
