TOWN OF CRANE LAKE
BOARD OF AUDIT MEETING
February 10, 2026
The February 10, 2026, Board of Audit Meeting was called to order by Chair Jeanne Shuck at 5:35PM, at the Crane Lake Visitor Center with the Pledge of Allegiance recited by those in attendance including: Supervisors Jim Janssen, Scott Sanborn, and Jeanne Shuck; Treasurer Traci Bak; and Clerk Jo Ann Pohlman.
Additions to the Agenda: There were none.
OLD BUSINESS:
Minutes: The minutes of the 2025 Board of Audit Meeting were previously approved at the Annual Meeting on 3/11/2025.
Treasurer’s Report for Fiscal Year 2025: Traci read the following Cash Balance Statement for 2025: Beginning Balance – $270,308.82; Total Receipts – $1,826,937.74; Total Disbursements – $1,212,898.44 with an Ending Balance of $884,348.12. A motion was made by Scott, supported by Jim, to approve the Treasurer’s Report for Fiscal Year 2025. All voted in favor and the motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS:
Review/Inspection of Clerk & Treasurer Ledgers and Books: The Supervisors inspected the Clerk and Treasurer’s Reports and Books for fiscal year 2025 and found them to be in clear and correct order.
Review Projected Revenues & Expenditures for 2026: The Supervisors reviewed the Projected Revenues & Expenditures for 2026 with no changes recommended.
Review Proposed 2027 Budget: The Supervisors reviewed the proposed budget presented by the Budget Committee. A motion was made by Scott, supported by Jim, to accept the 2027 budget and levy request as submitted by the Budget Committee to be presented to the citizens for approval at the 2026 Annual Town Meeting. All voted in favor and the motion carried.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:12pm.
