TOWN OF CRANE LAKE
SPECIAL BOARD OF SUPERVISORS’ MEETING
June 22, 2016
The June 22, 2016 Special Board of Supervisors’ Meeting was called to order by Chairman Jim Janssen at 7:38PM at the Crane Lake Chapel Fellowship Hall with the Pledge of Allegiance recited by those in attendance including: Supervisors Butch Eggen, Jim Janssen, and Jerry Pohlman; Treasurer Traci Bak; Clerk Jo Ann Pohlman and 6 members of the community.
BUSINESS
Chairman Jim Jannsen explained that the purpose of the Special Board of Supervisors’ Meeting was to adopt a resolution approving a funding application for property purchase.
A motion was made by Butch to adopt Resolution No. 2016-07 Authorizing and Supporting an Application for Funding to the LCCMR to purchase land for the development of a Voyageurs National Park Visitors Center. At this point, Jim read the Resolution to all those present. Jerry supported the motion. Discussion comments were that Butch thought that Gary Cerkvenik did an excellent job in writing the application to the Legislative Citizens Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR) and if the funding can be secured, it would be in the best interest of the Town to move forward. Jim echoed Butch’s statement. All voted in favor and the motion carried.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:46PM.
