BOARD OF APPEAL & EQUALIZATION MEETING
May 1, 2014
The May 1, 2014 Board of Appeal and Equalization Meeting of the Town of Crane Lake was called to order by Chairman Jerry Pohlman at 1:15PM at the Crane Lake Chapel Fellowship Hall with the Pledge of Allegiance recited by those in attendance including: Supervisors Jerry Pohlman, Jim Janssen, and Butch Eggen, Treasurer Shannon Bibeau, Clerk Jo Ann Pohlman, and St. Louis County Representatives Dan Christensen and Beth Sokoloski.
A motion was made by Jim, supported by Butch, to approve the following as recommended by St. Louis County Representatives Dan Christensen and Beth Sokoloski. All voted in favor and the motion carried.
Benner Debois Partnership, Parcel Code 308-40-3836. Removed additional factors on land/building. Corrected market area. Removed 1 site value. Valuation was reduced from $146,400.00 to $94,900.00; a reduction of $51,500.00
Leslie Townsend, Parcel Code 308-40-3838. Removed additional factors on land/building. Corrected market area. Corrected frontage tiers. Valuation was reduced from $169,100.00 to $98,400.00; a reduction of $70,700.00.
Steven P. Wyant, Parcel Code 308-40-3832. Removed additional factors on land/building. Corrected market area. Valuation was reduced from $31,500.00 to $22,000.00; a reduction of $9,500.00.
Steven P. Wyant, Parcel Code 308-40-3834. Removed additional land factors. Corrected market area. Valuation was reduced from $29,800.00 to $12,000.00; a reduction of $17,800.00.
William Sloderbeck, Parcel Code 308-40-3350. Removed additional land and building factors. Corrected frontage tiers. Valuation was reduced from $249,400.00 to $138,100.00; a reduction of $111,300.00.
Josephine Anderson, Parcel Code 308-40-2545. Removed additional land factor and corrected frontage tiers. Valuation was reduced from $86,700.00 to $84,800.00; a reduction of $1,900.00.
Robert Thiede, Parcel Code 308-40-2540. Removed additional land and building factors. Corrected frontage tiers. Valuation was reduced from $186,700.00 to $100,000.00; a reduction of $86,700.00.
A motion was made by Jim, supported by Butch, to approved the following as recommended by St. Louis County Representatives Dan Christensen and Beth Sokoloski. All voted in favor and the motion carried.
Paul Tufte, Parcel Code 308-30-5110. Split valuation was not posted. Valuation was reduced from $46,200.00 to $25,900.00; a reduction of $20,300.00.
Timothy King, Parcel Code 308-30-1600. Added building from Parcel Code 308-30-1601 and site value. Valuation was increased from $187,700.00 to $202,600.00; and increase of $14,900.00.
Robert & Melanie Smerillo, Parcel Code 308-30-1601. Building, site, lake water value should be on neighboring parcel. Valuation was reduced from $247,400.00 to $242,500.00; a reduction of $4,900.00.
Robert DeFries, Parcel Code 308-30-3227. No Change.
The Board of Appeal and Equalization Meeting was adjourned at 2PM.
