TOWN OF CRANE LAKE
BOARD OF AUDIT MEETING
February 9, 2021
The February 9, 2021 Board of Audit Meeting was called to order by Chairman Jerry Pohlman at 7:26PM, at the Crane Lake Chapel Fellowship Hall with those in attendance including: Supervisors Kara Knutson, Jim Janssen and Jerry Pohlman, Treasurer Traci Bak, Clerk Jo Ann Pohlman and 1 member of the community.
There were no additions to the Agenda.
OLD BUSINESS:
Minutes – The minutes of the 2020 Board of Audit Meeting were previously approved at the 3/10/20 Annual Meeting.
Treasurer’s Report for Fiscal Year 2020 – Traci read the following Cash Control Statement for 2020: Beginning Balance – $136,375.18; Total Receipts – $288,338.57; Total Disbursements – $240,936.23 with an Ending Balance of $183,777.52. A motion was made by Jim, supported by Jerry, to approve the Treasurer’s Report for Fiscal Year 2020. All voted in favor and the motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS:
Review/Inspection of Clerk & Treasurer Ledgers and Books: The Supervisors inspected the Clerk and Treasurer’s Reports and Books for fiscal year 2020 and found them to be in clear and correct order.
Review Projected Revenues & Expenditures for 2021: The Supervisors reviewed the Projected Revenues & Expenditures for 2021 with no changes recommended.
Review Proposed 2022 Budget: The Supervisors reviewed the proposed budget presented by the Budget Committee. A motion was made by Kara, supported by Jim, to accept the 2022 budget and levy request as submitted by the Budget Committee to be presented to the citizens for approval at the 2021 Annual Town Meeting with one change increasing the proposed levy amount for the Visitor Center Fund from $10,000 to $15,000 – changing the total levy request to $125,000. All voted in favor and the motion carried.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:55PM.
