BOARD OF AUDIT MEETING

February 4, 2025

 

The February 4, 2025, Board of Audit Meeting was called to order by Chairman Jim Janssen at 6:35PM, at the Crane Lake Chapel Fellowship Hall. Those in attendance include:  Supervisors Jim Janssen, Scott Sanborn, and Jeanne Shuck; Treasurer Traci Bak; Deputy-Clerk Jo Ann Pohlman; and Clerk Ashlyn Denning. Deputy-Treasurer Gretchen Janssen was absent.

 

Additions to the Agenda:  There were none.

 

OLD BUSINESS:

 

Minutes:  The minutes of the 2024 Board of Audit Meeting were previously approved at the Annual Meeting on 3/12/2024.

 

Treasurer’s Report for Fiscal Year 2024:  Traci read the following Cash Control Statement for 2024:  Beginning Balance – $156,375.76; Total Receipts – $900,468.92; Total Disbursements – $786,708.06 with an Ending Balance of $270,136.62.  A motion was made by Jeanne, supported by Scott, to approve the Treasurer’s Report for Fiscal Year 2024.   All voted in favor and the motion carried.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

 

Review/Inspection of Clerk & Treasurer Ledgers and Books: The Supervisors inspected the Clerk and Treasurer’s Reports and Books for fiscal year 2024 and found them to be in clear and correct order.

 

Review Projected Revenues & Expenditures for 2025:  The Supervisors reviewed the Projected Revenues & Expenditures for 2025 with no changes recommended.

Review Proposed 2026 Budget: The Supervisors reviewed the proposed budget presented by the Budget Committee.  A motion was made by Jim, supported by Jeanne, to accept the 2026 budget and levy request as submitted by the Budget Committee to be presented to the citizens for approval at the 2025 Annual Town Meeting.   All voted in favor and the motion carried.
