TOWN OF CRANE LAKE
BOARD OF AUDIT MEETING
February 14, 2023
The February 14, 2023, Board of Audit Meeting was called to order by Vice-Chairman Jim Janssen at 5:30PM, at the Crane Lake Chapel Fellowship Hall with the Pledge of Allegiance recited by those in attendance including: Supervisors Brandon Anderson and Jim Janssen; Treasurer Traci Bak; Deputy-Clerk Gretchen Janssen; Clerk Jo Ann Pohlman; and four members of the community (Including Zoom). Supervisor Jerry Pohlman was absent.
There were no additions to the Agenda.
OLD BUSINESS:
Minutes – The minutes of the 2022 Board of Audit Meeting were previously approved at the 3/8/22 Annual Meeting.
Treasurer’s Report for Fiscal Year 2022 – Traci read the following Cash Control Statement for 2022: Beginning Balance – $195,229.87; Total Receipts – $324,827.17; Total Disbursements – $393,457.51 with an Ending Balance of $126,599.53. A motion was made by Brandon, supported by Jim, to approve the Treasurer’s Report for Fiscal Year 2022. All voted in favor and the motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS:
Review/Inspection of Clerk & Treasurer Ledgers and Books: The Supervisors inspected the Clerk and Treasurer’s Reports and Books for fiscal year 2022 and found them to be in clear and correct order.
Review Projected Revenues & Expenditures for 2023: The Supervisors reviewed the Projected Revenues & Expenditures for 2023 with no changes recommended.
Review Proposed 2024 Budget: The Supervisors reviewed the proposed budget presented by the Budget Committee. A motion was made by Jim, supported by Brandon, to accept the 2024 budget and levy request as submitted by the Budget Committee to be presented to the citizens for approval at the 2023 Annual Town Meeting. All voted in favor and the motion carried.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 5:55PM.
