2/13/24 Board of Audit Minutes



February 13, 2024



The February 13, 2024, Board of Audit Meeting was called to order by Chairman Jerry Pohlman at 5:30PM, at the Crane Lake Chapel Fellowship Hall with the Pledge of Allegiance recited by those in attendance including:  Supervisors Jerry Pohlman and Jeanne Shuck; Treasurer Traci Bak; Clerk Jo Ann Pohlman; and two members of the community.  Supervisor Jim Janssen & Deputy-Clerk Gretchen Janssen were absent.


Additions to the Agenda:  Community Action Plan discussion was added.


The Board discussed the need for a Community Action Plan (CAP); and concluded that no additional funds needed to be added to the proposed budget.  The CAP will be added to the Annual Meeting for discussion and possible budget increase.




Minutes – The minutes of the 2023 Board of Audit Meeting were previously approved at the 3/14/23 Annual Meeting.


Treasurer’s Report for Fiscal Year 2023 – Traci read the following Cash Control Statement for 2023:  Beginning Balance – $127,283.29; Total Receipts – $686,046.92; Total Disbursements – $656,954.45 with an Ending Balance of $156,375.76.  A motion was made by Jerry, supported by Jeanne, to approve the Treasurer’s Report for Fiscal Year 2023.   All voted in favor and the motion carried.




Review/Inspection of Clerk & Treasurer Ledgers and Books: The Supervisors inspected the Clerk and Treasurer’s Reports and Books for fiscal year 2023 and found them to be in clear and correct order.


Review Projected Revenues & Expenditures for 2024:  The Supervisors reviewed the Projected Revenues & Expenditures for 2024 with no changes recommended.


Review Proposed 2025 Budget:  The Supervisors reviewed the proposed budget presented by the Budget Committee.  A motion was made by Jeanne, supported by Jerry, to accept the 2025 budget and levy request as submitted by the Budget Committee to be presented to the citizens for approval at the 2024 Annual Town Meeting.   All voted in favor and the motion carried.


There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:17PM.
