TOWN OF CRANE LAKE

BOARD OF AUDIT MEETING

February 12, 2019

Prior to the meeting Traci Bak took the Oath of Office.

The February 12, 2019 Board of Audit Meeting was called to order by Chairman Jerry Pohlman at 5:35PM, at the Crane Lake Chapel Fellowship Hall with the Pledge of Allegiance recited by those in attendance including:  Supervisors Katie Congdon, Jim Janssen and Jerry Pohlman, Treasurer Traci Bak, Clerk Jo Ann Pohlman and 4 members of the community.

There were no additions to the Agenda.

OLD BUSINESS:

Minutes – The minutes of the 2018 Board of Audit Meeting were previously approved at the 3/13/18 Annual Meeting.

Treasurer’s Report for Fiscal Year 2018 – Traci read the following Cash Control Statement for 2018:  Beginning Balance – $113,670.71; Total Receipts – $268,846.17; Total Disbursements – $260,447.24 with an Ending Balance of $122,069.64.  A motion was made by Jim, supported by Katie, to approve the Treasurer’s Report for Fiscal Year 2018.   All voted in favor and the motion carried.

NEW BUSINESS:

Review/Inspection of Clerk & Treasurer Ledgers and Books: The Supervisors inspected the Clerk and Treasurer’s Reports and Books for fiscal year 2018 and found them to be in clear and correct order. 

Review Projected Revenues & Expenditures for 2019:  The Supervisors reviewed the Projected Revenues & Expenditures for 2019. 

Approve Revision of 2019 Budget:  A motion was made by Jim, supported by Jerry, to increase the Disbursement Office Equipment-Computers from $300 to $3,500.  All voted in favor and the motion carried.

Review Proposed 2020 Budget:  The Supervisors reviewed the proposed budget presented by the Budget Committee.  A motion was made by Katie, supported by Jim, to accept the 2020 budget and levy request as submitted by the Budget Committee to be presented to the citizens for approval at the 2019 Annual Town Meeting with the following changes:  Decrease Office Equipment-Computer from $3,500 to $300 and increased Visitor Center Fund from $10,000 to $13,200.   All voted in favor and the motion carried. 

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 5:52PM.
