BOARD OF CANVASS MEETING
November 12, 2024
The Board of Canvass Meeting was called to order by Chairman Jerry Pohlman at 5:35PM, Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at the Crane Lake Chapel Fellowship Hall prior to the Board of Supervisors’ Meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance recited by those in attendance including: Supervisors and Canvass Judges Jim Janssen, Jerry Pohlman & Jeanne Shuck; Treasurer Traci Bak; Deputy-Clerk Gretchen Janssen; Clerk Jo Ann Pohlman; and eight community members (including Zoom).
The election results were reviewed by the Canvass Judges as follows:
Summary of Votes Cast in the Precinct of Crane Lake Township, State of Minnesota at the State General Election held Tuesday, November 5, 2024
Number of registered voters prior to poll opening – 87
Number of persons registering to vote on Election Day – 6
Number of signatures at polling place roster – 63
Number of absentee ballots – 18
Total number of voters – 81
Candidate Vote Write-In
Supervisor A, 4 Year Term – 51 (Scott Sanborn)
Supervisor B, 4 Year Term – 65 Jeanne Shuck – 5
Clerk, 4 Year Term – 63 Ashley Denning – 4
The 2025 Town Board will be Supervisors Jim Janssen, Scott Sanborn, and Jeanne Shuck; Clerk Ashlyn Denning; and Treasurer Traci Bak.
The Board then certified the election results:
The Board of Supervisors and Board of Canvass, of the Town of Crane Lake, certified the election results of the Town of Crane Lake, 2024 General Election, held Tuesday, November 5, 2024, as submitted by the St. Louis County Canvassing Board to be the official results. The Board signed the Abstract of Votes Cast in the Precinct of Crane Lake Township, State of Minnesota at the State General Election held Tuesday, November 5, 2024 received from St. Louis County.
Jo Ann Pohlman, Clerk of Crane Lake Township, certified the St. Louis County Abstract of Votes Cast in the Precinct of Crane Lake received from St. Louis County.
The signed St. Louis County Abstract of Votes Cast in the Precinct of Crane Lake Township is attached to these minutes.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:41.
