BOARD OF CANVASS MEETING
March 13, 2007
The Board of Canvass Meeting was called to order by Chairman Jerry Pohlman at 8:43PM Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at the Crane Lake Chapel Fellowship Hall following the Annual Town Meeting with the following in attendance: Supervisors and Canvass Judges Jerry Pohlman and Butch Eggen, Clerk Jo Ann Pohlman, Treasurer Terrie Hoff, a reporter from the Voyageur Sentinel and 11 members of the community.
Chairman Jerry asked Clerk Jo Ann to read the election results. Her report was as follows:
Number of registered voters prior to poll opening – 121
Number of persons registering to vote on election day – 1
Number of signatures at polling place roster – 28
Number of absentee ballots – 2
Total number of voters – 30
Candidate Vote
James Janssen – Supervisor, 3 Year Term – 20
Mark Anderson – Supervisor, 3 Year Term – 1
Jim Pohlman – Supervisor, 3 Year Term – 1
Mike White – Supervisor, 3 Year Term – 1
Butch Eggen – Supervisor, 3 Year Term – 1
Terrie Hoff – Treasurer, 2 Year Term – 27
Bill Congdon – Treasurer, 2 Year Term – 1
Question Vote
Shall the first Tuesday, after the first Monday in November of even years be designated as the date of the Crane Lake Township general election? Yes – 23 votes; No – 7 votes.
The 2007 Town Board will be Supervisors Jerry Pohlman, James Janssen, and Butch Eggen, Clerk Jo Ann Pohlman and Treasurer Terrie Hoff.
The Crane Lake Township general elections will be held on the First Tuesday, after the first Monday in November of even years.
The Board then certified the election results.
We, the Board of Supervisors, of the Town of Crane Lake, do hereby certify the election results of the Town of Crane Lake, 2007 Annual Township Election, held Tuesday, March 13, 2007 as submitted by the Election Board to be the official results.
